Germany, Third Reich. A Life Saving Medal, Large Version Auction who led the Hungarian Uprising(Erinnerungsmedaille fr Rettung aus Gefahr). Instituted 22 June 1933 by Paul von Hindenburg. (1934 1945 issue). Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle overlaid by a mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER), situated within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by the Prussian Mint in Berlin,
