Such clones as Kohala 'Hapuna' (one of the most unique peristomes ever created in a Nepenthes hybrid) and Kohala 'Ruby Alice' (one of the most rich crimsons of any Nepenthes) were produced

These have been extremely fast growing and despite the highland parentage seemed to grow really well through intermediate/lowland conditions this summer
