Agave ovatifolia Vanzie Scutellaria to 2' tallAgave ovatifolia 'Vanzie' is a clonal selection of the fabulous whale's tongue agave from plantsman Kelly Griffin. Our eight year old specimen flowered in 2022 after it had reached a whopping 4' tall x 7' wide. Agave ovatifolia 'Vanzie' was selected for its splendid ventral leaf folds, smaller teeth, a more scalloped, wavy leaf edge, and a very fast growth rate. Agave ovatifolia 'Vanzie' has been superb in our garden trials for damp, cold winter
