Nigersaurus taqueti Ankylosaurus reduciendo los dedos a unoNigersaurus taqueti was an extremely specialized rebbachisaurid sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, approximately 115105 million years ago (AptianAlbian), in what is now the Republic of Niger, when much of the present day Sahara was an extensive green fluvial plain with abundant vegetation and large river systems. Its fossils come mainly from the Elrhaz Formation, in the Gadoufaoua region. It was formally described in 1999
