Farfugium japonicum var luchuense Basho Ogi Nananthus but we did find aFarfugium 'Basho Ogi' is a little known Japanese selection of Farfugium japonicum var. luchuense. The 8" tall x 2' wide clumps are composed of odd shaped 4" long x 5" wide leaves, nicely speckled yellow. Starting for us in mid October, the clumps are topped with 2' tall branched scapes of yellow aster like flowers. Moist, rich soils produce the best plants.
