Instituted 13 September 1915 by King Wilhelm II. (1915 1918 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of Cross Patte, the obverse bearing a central wreathed monogram of King Wilhelm II, the six oclock arm bearing an institution date of 1915, the twelve oclock arm bearing a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43. 82 mm (w) x 48. 88 mm (h), weighing 27. 0
