Constructed of patinated bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward facing bust of General Max von Gallwitz, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a detailed image of a cavalryman atop a horse, situated above inscriptions of key engagements of von Gallwitzs First World War career, the obverse sculptor marked P. STURM for Paul Sturm, the reverse maker marked R. BALL for Robert Ball,
