In the background is the replica of Philadelphia's Independence Hall. Also shown are the flags lining the Court of Peace. The 1939 40 New York World's Fair was located in the Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City. Opening on April 30, 1939, the Fair ran for two seasons, from April to October
