Constructed of beige burlap (or Hessian cloth), the exterior bearing a stamped black inscription of H. VERPFL. 1943 for Heeres Verpflegung 1943 (Army Rations 1943) on one side and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on the opposite side, with three of the edges securely reinforced with heavy stitching to ensure safe transport of grain, potatoes, or other edibles, unmarked, measuring 68 cm (w) x 112 cm (h),
