In bronze gilt, engraver marked "J. TOSTRUP" on the reverse, measuring 32. 5 mm in diameter, spotting, original ribbon with pinback, near extremely fine. Footnote: The King Haakon VII Freedom Medal was instituted on May 18, 1945 and awarded to both Norwegian and foreign military and civilians for service to Norway during the Second World War.
