Germany, Federal Republic. A Gau Warthe Commemorative Badge, Exhibition Example by Rudolf Souval, c. 1965 Auction expiry date of December 31(Gau Ehrenzeichen Wartheland, Museumsstck). Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a blue enamel date of 1939 topped by a crossed plough and sword, surrounding an NSDAP style German national eagle clutching a wreathed and blue enameled swastika, the reverse with eight visible clips securing the obverse features in position, maker marked with LDO
