Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A War Medal (Gallipoli Star), by B.B.&Co. consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac heavily plated on reverse and(Harp Madalyasi). Instituted in 1915. Multi piece construction, in silvered bronze with red enamels, ball finials on the tips of the star points, measuring 55. 7 mm (w) x 54. 8 mm (h), maker marked "B. B.&Co" (unidentified maker in Berlin) on the reverse, horizontal pinback, light contact overall, extremely fine.
