Erythronium americanum Silver Pigeon Chrysogonum The dramatic stalks of green-We are pleased to share an amazing form of our US native (Canada south to Alabama) spring ephemeral trout lily, Erythronium americanum, which was discovered near Pigeon Mountain, Georgia by our friend, UK plantsman Graham Birkin, in 2012. In our garden, this rare solid silver leaf selection of the typically mottled species has shown amazing vigor, forming a 2' wide patch, that increases steadily via short rhizomes. For us, the summer dormant clumps
