This is an original 1907 color cover for for the October issue of Technical World Magazine, featuring an image of Hermes, the Greek god of travelers and invention. The winged hat signifies him as well as the winged shoes, the tortoise, and the rooster. Written next to him is, "The Spirit of Discovery". Based upon what can be seen of the signature, we believe the artist of the cover to be W. D. Goldbeck. CONDITION
