It is closely related to Nepenthes burkei and ventricosa. Strangely, it has been documented to grow in deep shade in its native habitat which is a stark contrast to other intermediate and highland Nepenthes species. Weve grown it alongside all our other intermediate Nepenthes species and it seems to grow quite well; however, some growers who have more shady conditions
