Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath with scalloped edges, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and narrow flattened pinback meeting a flattened angular catch, unmarked but demonstrating all of the hallmarks of an early Hohl Verbdet, measuring 38. 50 mm (w) x
