Instituted November 25th, 1942. Constructed of gilded, silvered, and bronzed (respectively) feinzink, consisting of a central square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaid by a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, in turn situated above a magnetic metal backplate, flanked on each side by four rays and four oak leaves with two acorns, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, falsely marked RZM,
