The tunic is fabricated from a fine army green wool, with button down epaulette straps on both shoulders, secured in place by a small gilt finished brass button bearing the United States coat of arms. There is an 8th Air Force patch in rolled gold colored bullion wire with red embroidery on a blue wool base, sewn in place on the left shoulder, while the right shoulder has a United States Army Air Forces patch in silvered and
